Samsung Trance SCH-u490 (Verizon Wireless) has an attractive look, touch sensitive controls and powerful music player. It is 2.1 inch, 176 by 220 pixel LCD screen that’s standard for this class of device. It has a music themed graphics on the home screen.

Samsung Trance SCH-u490 comes in two colors electric red and piano black both with a glossy black front penal. This is a full of buttons with a volume rocker, a lock switch, a speakerphone toggle with phone book capacity of 1000 contacts. This has some other facilities also like personal organizer, an alarm clock, a world clock, and a calculator with unit converter, and a stopwatch.

With all these Samsung Trance lacks some features like attractive design, the 1.3-megapixel sensor lacks an LED flash and auto focus capability and audio performance of this set is not impressive. Its web browser is typical for Verizon which is slow and hobbled with low screen resolution and downsides of a poky 2G radio. The Trance is a dual-band (800/1,900-MHz) CDMA device but without a 3G EV-DO radio which is a disappointment.
